Asbury’s Music Ministry exists to lead God’s people in praise. We believe God calls us to proclaim the message of God’s redeeming love through music. If you enjoy music, we'd love to have you join us! People remember what they sing so we are careful to immerse ourselves both musically and spiritually in the great Wesleyan theological tradition. The congregation is Asbury’s biggest choir so you’re part of the Music Ministry even if you’re not in an ensemble! If you would enjoy being in an organized ensemble, there's a place for you if you’re four-years old and older. We'd love to have you be a part of our ministry! See the below for more information on these ministries.
The Asbury Choir is Asbury’s adult choir that leads at the 11:00 service every Sunday during the school year. We welcome all who wish to be part of a fun, loving, and musical family. No audition is necessary. We like to say “if you can breathe, you can sing!” plus we’ll teach everyone what they need to know. We normally give two concerts a year (Spring and Christmas with an occasional service for All Saints’ Sunday) and rehearse on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Please contact Lee Cooke at 337-280-0898 or for more information.
Kids' Choir is a ministry that focuses on the development of children's voices while inspiring a life-long love of music and worship. Kids' Choir takes place every Sunday during the school year at 3:00 p.m. in the Children's Building. See our Kids' Choir page or contact Andrea Mouton at for more information.
Alpha Omega Youth Choir
The Alpha Omega Choir is Asbury's youth choir. It is led by Greig Ashurst. It is for all teens in grades 7 - 12 and meets every Sunday during the school year at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Asbury Handbell Ensemble is a dedicated group of musicians of all ages who love to serve the church with meaningful music in worship. We play in the morning services monthly and rehearse on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm in the balcony of the sanctuary during the regular school year.
