Adult Ministries

Asbury's Adult Ministries offer a wide variety of small group opportunities which help you connect with others, learn and grow as a disciple of Christ, and make a difference in the world through acts of service. We welcome you to experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ by participating in group life here at Asbury. 

Regular Programming

Adult Sunday School: every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in the Adult Wing. Childcare or Children's Sunday School is available in the Children's Building. If you are interested in visiting or joining an Adult Sunday School class, please email Jan Cooke, Director of Adult Ministries at and she can find one that is best for you! 


DivorceCare is a recovery seminar and weekly support group that meets for 13 weeks for adults facing the challenges of divorce or separation. Our next DivorceCare session begins January 20 at 6:30 p.m.  This group is facilitated by Michelle Hernandez, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Hernandez Counseling in Lafayette.  For more information, please contact Jan Cooke, Director of Adult Ministries at .


Griefshare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences- the loss of a loved one. This group is led by Patsy Campbell Fletcher on Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. beginning January 19. Check our events to see if we have one this Sunday or contact Patsy Campbell Fletcher at  for more information. 

Adult Classes & studies

We host a variety of Bible Study, book clubs, and classes for adults on Monday and Tuesday evenings. We also facilitate fellowship and connection between our Asbury family with pot-luck suppers, church-wide events, and hospitality every Sunday morning. Special Programming

Adult Ministries hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, promoting Christian education, inspiration, and fun! 

Asbury spring Fair

Our annual Asbury Spring Fair is a church-wide celebration on our campus and is sponsored by Asbury Adult Ministries. This free multi-generational event features a classic car show, pony rides, a cake-walk, chili-cookoff, fun jumps, children's crafts, and more! 

Men's Night

Every quarter, our Asbury Men's Ministry hosts an evening of food, fellowship, and inspiration from a featured speaker. Asbury Methodist Men's Ministry aims to develop men's desire to grow spiritually as men and to create meaningful, lasting relationships with like-minded men in the Acadiana area. All Christian men over 16, regardless of domination, are welcome. Our next Asbury Men's Night takes place in Spiritwind Worship Center on January 14, 2020 at 6pm.. 

pearls of faith

Annually in September, we invite all ladies to join us for a night of spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun! We feature several inspirational speakers, connect with each other, and enjoy a meal together. Pearls of Faith is our premiere women's fellowship event. 

Asbury Churchwide Potluck Supper

Come enjoy a time of warm fellowship and fabulous food at our January 26th Church-wide Potluck Supper! Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. in Spiritwind Worship Center.
