Welcome to Asbury United Methodist Church
Please see our Sunday Worship Page for both Online Worship and in-person Sunday worship options.
What time is worship?
While our digital platforms will continue to provide our primary worship experience for the time being, we are offering limited in-person Sunday worship services. We invite everyone to remain connected to God's Spirit, as one body, through one or more of these opportunities for prayer and praise, song and silence, words and the Word.
What building do I go to?
The Asbury campus covers two city blocks along Johnston Street with Live Oak Boulevard running through the center of the campus. The Children's Building, which houses our Nursery Ministry and Children's Sunday School classes, faces Johnston Street. The sanctuary and Spiritwind Worship Center are on either side of Live Oak Boulevard at the intersection of Bel Ann. Our church office is next to the sanctuary on Live Oak, and the Youth Ministry Building is housed in the two-story building next to Spiritwind Worship Center.
Where do I park?
While there are several parking lots around campus, guest parking is available on Live Oak Boulevard, and our largest parking lot is at the corner of Live Oak and Bel Ann, across from the sanctuary.
What do I wear?
Dress for comfort. People wear everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and collared shirts.
What about children?
Children are always welcome in any worship service. We absolutely understand that babies cry and children sometimes have a hard time sitting still, and we are thrilled they are present even when they are making a little noise. We have activity bags with coloring sheets and games if needed.
The nursery will be available for infants - 5 year-olds during the 9:45 and 11:00 worship services. During the 9:45 a.m. worship service, children in nursery care will be included in pre-school Sunday School. All nursery staff will be using the same cleaning and care procedures that are being used during Asbury's Day School. We will not have childcare for children over the age of 5.
Please contact Sarah Deroche if you have any questions.
If there is anything we can do to enrich your children's worship experience, let us know how we can help.
what can I expect from the sermons?
First and foremost, expect to hear about God's grace and love! Our aim is always to offer a positive and life-giving message that teaches about living, growing, and sharing with all the love of Jesus Christ. We hope you experience the great welcome and hospitality God has for all people and are encouraged to follow the way of Jesus in your everyday life.
Our sermons are being offered primarily through our Worship Online page.
